To work in this field, one needs to have proper expertise in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word). Many sites offer free courses on Microsoft Office like on LinkedIn. There are also many tutorials available on YouTube.

Project management/ proposal writing:

Before starting to work in the field of public health, it’s useful to attend short courses or training such as grant writing, project management, etc. that will help one to produce better results in the workforce. There are many courses listed under Icddr, b, Brac, IUB, Daffodil University, DGHS NSU, Coursera, etc.

Literature review  and referencing:

If one wants to work in the field of research, one needs to learn how to do a proper literature review. There are many specific sites like PubMed, PubMed books, Google Books, Google Scholar web of science, PROQUEST, JSTOR, BPC, PMC, UpToDate EBSCo, etc. for searching literature (publications, articles, journals, statistics, etc.) for research work l Some courses teach how to properly use these websites and search engines.

Also, another important thing is to use these references in the writing properly. The most common way is to use the software called Endnote. There are other softwares as well, for example, Mendely.
