There are many specific sites like PubMed, PubMed books, Google Books, Google Scholar web of science, PROQUEST, JSTOR, BPC, PMC, UpToDate EBSCo, etc. for searching literature (publications, articles, journals, statistics, etc.) for research work l Some courses teach how to properly use these websites and search engines.
Also, another important thing is to use these references in the writing properly. The most common way is to use the software called Endnote. There are other softwares as well, for example, Mendely.
