Dr. Nafis Rahman

M.B.B.S
Associate, WSIF

Dr. Nafis Rahman, is a graduate physician, pursuing her Master’s in Public Health and working as an associate in Women Support Initiative Forum (WSIF).

She worked as a clinical research associate in USAID, PREDICT- 2 projects in IEDCR and worked with the high-risk communities for zoonotic diseases in Bangladesh and thus gathered her first experience in public health research. After enrolling herself in MPH, she found how mental health is stigmatized and unrecognized in Bangladesh and she developed her interest in mental health-related works especially in women’s mental health.

“When I joined WSIF, I knew it will be a great opportunity for me to learn and prove myself in the arena of mental health. While women’s mental health is not prioritized properly, I love to work with WSIF as it is both challenging and productive. It always thrills me that what we are doing today may help shape the better health of the future community.”
