We have all gone through the crisis of covid 19 and are still going through it.
It has affected our life, mental health, jobs, families and so on.
Lastnight, it made me think all of the things that happened to me in the past 6 months. And I have suddenly realised that this crisis has given me the most longest time with my daughter at a time.
As a working mother, I joined work when Areebah was 3 months old and been working ever since. The longest she had seen me was 3 weeks at a go. She has always seen me getting ready for work or coming back home tired. She never got 100% of my time or energy.
This past 6 months she has got my constant attention. I have managed to build a stronger relation, a better communication and more importantly grown to love her as a person not just as a daughter. I have discovered her personality in a new way, seen her tooth wobbling and falling off, seen her growing up min by min and this journey has been so wonderful that I will always cherish when inshAllah everything goes back to normal.
Crisis has a way of conquering its path out of it. Cheers to all mothers, wives, families who were able to feel similar to what I feel.
