WSIF was awarded the 2^nd prize for the Inspiring Women Volunteer Award 2021 launched by UNV Bangladesh, VSO Bangladesh, Plan International and ActionAid Bangladesh. The award aimed to recognize and promote the invaluable contributions of women volunteers in Bangladesh during the pandemic. The women volunteers are selected for recognition for their crucial volunteering contributions towards COVID-19 response in health, awareness-raising, food distribution, innovation, working against gender-based violence, child protection, education, WASH, environment, mental health etc. This would also support harnessing synergy and explore opportunities for extracting development partners, government agencies, civil society, media, women’s agencies, volunteers, and other relevant stakeholders to foster the way of more participatory female volunteerism in the country.
