Stress is becoming an alarming issue in today’s world. It may seem like there’s nothing we can do to beat stress. But we have a lot more control than we might think. Here are some tips to manage stress.

1. Express your feelings instead of bottling them up.

2. Avoid drugs, alcohol: say no to drugs, alcohol, as they have side effects on your mental health in the long run. Similarly, try to avoid caffeine

3. Adequate sleep: It is necessary to have sound health. But don’t go to bed in the daytime, never.

4. Download meditation: Download or stream a dozen free meditations which are available on youtube.

5. Learn to say ‘no’

6. Spending time with loved ones

7. Do something you enjoy every day.

8. Balanced diet: well-nourished bodies are better prepared to cope with stress. So be mindful of what you eat.

If nothing works or your daily life gets hampered due to stress, then you must consult a psychologist or psychotherapist. Don’t feel shy to take help
