International students living on campus faced major difficulties at the beginning of the pandemic. Many students had to return back home because on-campus services stopped providing food and asked the students to leave because classes were canceled. Today we will discuss the reasons behind the stress of international students amid the COVID-19 situation.

Financial issues: The ones who chose to stay back faced many financial issues because many of them were already on tight budgets

Family Pressure: Many students also got coerced by their parents to return home during this time even though traveling was very difficult. Many of them gave in to this pressure and had to adjust to new time zones and schedules in order to keep up with their schoolwork.

Accommodation issues: Many international students had to find new accommodations, get their own groceries which became difficult because most of them do not have access to private transportation and public vehicles were temporarily closed.

Uncertainty: Students are still struggling to get back to the countries where they are attaining their higher education. This could be stressful to the students because classes will soon be in person, and it could hinder their education.
